1. Medicine for children’s fever: coconut sponge, the fruit of Fragraea and the scraped bark of Clerodendron; drink one dose.
2. Water for ague: Scaevola, Tournefortia (Toito'i Tausunu) (leaves).
3. High fever: Jatropha (Patafatu) (leaves).
4. High fever with pain in ribs: Mix together leaves of Morinda.(Nonu Togianonu) or Indian Mulberry
5. Medicine for sunstroke: The rind of the edible orange, rub polo leaves in.
6. Medicine for overheating: Bark from the trunk of the Acarina; drink.
7. Medicine for pain in legs, arms or head (rheumatic fever): Rub Cardamine where pain.
8. Perspiration medicine: Vitex (namulega) and the leaf shorts of alphitoni (?), pound; drink.
9. Sickness in the head (headache, etc.): Leaf shoots of Premna (aloalo) and leaves of Malay apples, pound and mix, wrap in coconut leaf sheath. After three days, drink. If not effective, do the same with four just sprouted Pteris fern leaves, also four young fern leaves, pound; boil a coconut mix with hot coconut water, drink.
10. The disease of the head which will mount into the brain: Chew leaves of Thespesia (milo) or Pacific Rosewood and Micromelum( talavalu) and drop into nose and ears.
11. Water on the brain (Cerebral affection): Pluck leaf shoots off Vitex tree (namulega) , pound, wrap in coconut leaf sheath, mix with drinking water and drop into nose.
12. Medicine for Tetanus (apoplectic fit): Pound leaves and fruit of Diospyros tree, rub the head and the whole body with the pounded leaves while the (pounded) fruits are wrapped in a piece of brak cloth; take a ti leaf, make a funnel, put it in the nostrils (and allow to run in).
13. Eye water: Chew four leaves of Premna (aloalo) and drop fluid in (from the mouth).
14. Eye water: Premna (aloalo), leaf shoots of Premna hernandia.
15. Medicine for disease of the eye: Young leaves of Dysoxylum, young leaves of polovai, young leaves of the wild orange, chew and drop in (from mouth).
16. Eye water: Chew young twigs of Terminalia (talie); then take a piece of bark cloth or some other material, wrap and drop the fluid into the eye.
17. Water for milk thrush: Scrape the skin of the root of valagigie off.
18. Water for milk thrush: sida rhombifolia (mautofu)
19. Another medicine for milk thrush: Remove the skin of Melochia, then scrape the place where the root begins; mash it with the leaves of Premna (aloalo), drink.
20. Medicine for milk thrush: Scrape the tree stump of Terminalia(talie) and Thespesia (milo) off. Raw things and fats are prohibited.
21. Medicine for coughs and short breath: aloalomanogi and aloalovai, take leaves of them, pound them with rocks, wrap them in a coconutleaf sheath and mix with water, drink.
22. Medicine for short breath: Micromelum ( talavalu) , Premna (aloalo), mix their bark, drink.
23. Remedy for rib pains: Fragraea, Hoya (lau mafiafia) , wax plant or sandalwood, pound, drink.
24. Chest water: Scrape the skin off the flat part of the coconut leaf stalk and bark of the stump of the Hibiscus tiliaceus, drink.
25. Medicine for the chest: The leaves of the aota and the two relatives of the tree, pound, wrap up, mix, drink.
26. Medicine for consumption: Drink the juice of the trunk of the Vitex (aloalo). The use of fat things is prohibited.
27. An emetic: the leaves of Hydrocotyle and Commelyna (mau'utoga).
28. An emetic (to prevent vomiting): Asplenium fern; uncooked food forbidden.
29. Vomiting of blood: Achyranthes and root of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis.
30. Vomiting of blood: Clerodendron (aloalo tai) , Erythrina (gatae samoa), mash leaves, rub on.
31. Medicine for tooala: Tagitagi and the root of the fern laumagamaga and the stalk of Scaevola.
32. Medicine for tooala: Pound Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, mix with water and cook. Take it but leave some to rub abdomen with.
33. Medicine for tooala: Pound the stalk of Morinda. Then boil it in some drinking water.
34. A laxative: Pound the bark of Psychotria (matalafi), the bark of fatifati and the bark of Premna (aloalo). Pound. One dose.
35. A laxative: Pipturus and Hernandia (pua) or Chineese lantern tree and Wedelia (ateate), scrape the stalks, drink.
36. A laxative: Leucas, Commelyna (mau'utoga) or day flower, pound the leaves, mix with water, drink.
37. Medicine to set the bowels in motion: Premna (aloalo), Pteris fern , four young leaves, four of Thespesia(milo), drink.
38. Medicine to free the body of the sickness which is in it: Drinking all of the medicine will not help. If one wants to take the first dose, he should not eat till all of the water is drunk up. The plants for the medicineare: the creeper from the fruits of which boats are made for little children, Premna, the bottle gourd, fern; only the leaves of each of these plants, drink.
39. Medicine for calming the body: Red seaweed, Cananga(moso'oi), pound, drink.
40. Medicine for dysentery: Bark of the Ficus(aoa) or Polynesian banyan tree and bark of the Spondias(vi) or Polynesian plum, one dose.
41. Medicine for dysentery: Root of the Pandanus and root of the Pipturus, drink.
42. Medicine for dysentery: Scrape the root of the nreadfruit tree, drink.
43. Medicine to rub on the body (for swellings): Cook coconut blossom with a little oil, cook together, then take it and rub on.
44. Medicine for pain in the whole abdomen: Pipturus, Hernandia, breadfruit tree, skin of the flat part of the coconut leaf stalk, mix with the fruit water of an over ripe coconut.
45. Medicine for stomachache: Mash leaves of bottle gourd and leaves of Wedelia, mix, drink.
46. Medicine for abdominal pain: Zingiber zerumbet and Spondias.
47. Medicine for abdominal pains: Premna.
48. Medicine for peritonitis: Drink Urtica, but also rub on Leucas, and tobacco leaves and the leaves of polo, rub in the leaves.
49. Medicine for gonorrhoea (disease of the bladder): Pound the root of Zingiber, wrap up, mix with water, drink.
50. Gonorrhoea: Pound creepers and Wedelia, add a little coconut oil, boil then drink.
51. Gonorrhoea: Red Hibiscus, Zingiber and sand mix with water, drink.
52. Medicine for disease of the bladder: Young leaves of wild yams and Premna, mixed with water. Sweets and fish prohibited.
53. Medicine for scrofula: Scrape the bark of Ficus and Afzelia off. Then mix with salt water, then drink.
54. Medicine for women whose monthly period does not leave off: Leaves of the wild yams, of Gardenia, of Premna, of fuevili, mash, then mix with water, then drink.
55. Medicine for women whose monthly period leaves off continuously: Thespesia and togo.
56. Medicine for women whose monthly period leaves off continuously: Phaleria and fatifati, scrape off the stalks. Raw fish and rich food forbidden, don’t drink raw fluids.
57. Medicine for women who are about to have a miscarriage, to prevent it: Mash young leaves of wild Piper and the leaves of the wild orange, mix, drink.
58. Medicine for women in labour: Pound young fruits of the Spondias tree, mix with water, drink.
59. Medicine for women for whom childbirth is difficult: Vigna lutea, young leaves of Wedelia.
60. Medicine for sour milk: The bark of Grewia.
61. Medicine for fractures: Fatifati, Micromelum, Scaevola, Psychotria sp., lalatai, mash the bark, mix, drink.
62. Medicine for fractures: Chew the leaves of Colubrina and swallow the juice.
63. Medicine for extravasation of blood: Young leaves of Wedelia and Inocarpus.
64. Lotion for wounds: Chew leaves of red bentgrass laumagamaga and drop on.
65. Lotion for wounds: Tagitagi and roots o the coconut palm.
66. Lotion for wounds: Premna and coconut roots, pick leaves off very young Premna and chew it altogether, drink.
67. Medicine for the wounded: Scrape off the old tree trunk of Premna and drink; if this does not help do the same with Thespesia.
68. Medicine for people stung by Nifoloa: Take fuesina and taupepe, crush some of the leaves in your hand, pound it, wrap in a piece of bark cloth and let drip on the area that was stung. Also drink some of the pounded leaves.
69. Medicine to catch the demon (Nifoloa): Of togo and Urtica take a handful of leaves, take then and rub into the nose and on the face.
70. Medicine for inflammation: Scrape the bark of Calophyllum off, drink.
71. Swellings: Ficus tinctorial and the root of he Pandanus.
72. Medicine for inflammation: Root of Ficus aoa and Eugenia neurocalyx and lautifana, mix, drink.
73. Medicine to rub on for inflammation: Flacourtia and Embelia, rub in.
74. Medicine for inflammation: Canna, Thespesia, drink.
75. Medicine for inflammation: The young leaves of Wedelia and the young leaves of Premna, two leaves each. If the pus does not come out, take the trunk of the Ficus tinctorial, remove the bark, scrape that place of the tree off and give to drink. Then crush the young leaves of the Morinda and pound it. Then take it to fire and rub it in.
76. Swellings: the leaves of the fragrant Hoya, about ten leaves, cut up and put in a vessel. Then add coconut oil and rub on the swollen area.
77. A mixture to drink for this: Pound Vitex and young leaves of Alphitonia, drink.
78. Another medicine for welling: Young leaves of Flacourtia, take many, put them in a bowl, pound it, add oil and rub on the swollen areas.
79. Drops for abscesses: Chew fern and Premna leaves, let drip on.
80. Medicine for elephantiasis: Mix leaves of Carumbrium and sandalwood, drink.
81. Medicine for fever attacks with elephantiasis: Scrape off root of a just-sprouted Pandanus. Wrap in a coconut leaf sheath, mix with water, drink.
82. Medicine for abscesses with elephantiasis: Wild Piper.
83. Medicine for very swollen elephantiasis: This medicine is taken and rubbed in. Cook over the fire the young leaves of Cardamine and Scaevola.
84. Medicine for swelling of the scrotum: The young leaves of Eugenia corynocarpa, take many of then and young leaves of Eugenia malaccensis and the tree leaves of Psychotria, mash, wrap in bark cloth, add oil, boil and apply hot.
