What’s it all about?
Young people in Samoa have, for years, been attracting worldwide attention.
They’ve been killing themselves in numbers too big to ignore. Teenage pregnancy,
and teenage crime in Samoa, are seemingly passengers on, a runaway express
train.
We are a group of Christians angry at what is happening. Jesus met real needs, in a real way. We are going to follow that example and not become so heavenly minded. that we are ineffective on earth.
Our Purpose
To demonstrate to young people in a
radical, practical and relevant way, a radical practical and relevant Jesus.
We are going to;

Set up a place, to be known as ‘The
Flame’ with Gym, Volleyball, Indoor Basketball, Pool tables, table tennis, play
station computer games, study and chat areas, Cafe, E-mail Facility, Library,
professional counselling from trained on site counsellors. The Flame will be
open Monday to Thursday, from 10 am through to 10pm. On Fridays and Saturdays,
the Flame will be open at 10am through to 7pm. The Youth Centre will be open to
young people 13years and older. Entry and use of facilities is by donation.

On Friday and Saturday nights from
7pm through to 12pm ‘The Flame’ will become a night club, giving young people 15
years and older a place to meet that is ‘cool but at the same time will be
Alcohol FREE! Smoke FREE! and Drug FREE!. We are trying to keep young people out
of the other nightclubs by providing an exciting alternative. Entry to the club
is by donation.
§ Cultivate YOUTH FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE, and YOUTH FRIENDLY ORGANISATION CULTURE, where youth will compromise up to 50% of Board membership and have a major role in how the centre is run
