Nigel Burr
Nigel Burr is one of the most experienced bankers in Samoa having been involved in the top management of the major financial institutions in Samoa. Nigel Burr came to Samoa as part of the seconded officers of the Bank of NZ to the Bank of Western Samoa and decided to make Samoa his home. Nigel Burr's career has led to him taking top management positions with the Development Bank of Samoa, National Provident Fund, ANZ and currently the National Bank of Samoa.
To most, Nigel Burr is "Uncle Nigel" given is readiness to help out anyone who calls on him for help, particularly in looking for financing a faalavelave or a home. A person who prefers to take a a very low community profile he has been involved in number of community projects including the Independence Celebrations Committee and the Samoa Rugby Football Union. Although he is officially retired he is still very active in banking. Nigel Burr is married is Sauia Tommy Burr and they manage the Vaiala Beach cottages(Click Vaiala Beach Cottages) as part of their retirement past time.
