To'oa has told Samoalive the following:
" We seek to help the most needy and in doing so bless God. We hope to expand our efforts to serve the needy preschools, critical children in need of surgical intervention, continue to look into ways to provide services and assistance for the multiple amputees in Samoa. We will continue to serve the wandering homeless of Samoa and seek to encourage involvement in all aspects of the outreach with all faith communities of Samoa. There is tremendous need in Samoa. If you walk through the villages, meet the disabled, talk to the elders and see their plight, if you love Samoa... you will find it very difficult to ignore. My dear Samoan father, Head of State, Malietoa... has asked that I 'not forget the people of Samoa'. I promised to devote my life to carrying out his wishes for the needy of Samoa. "
"As To'oa... I feel so honored and blessed to be entrusted with such a title and take this honor very seriously. Although to many... this was seen as inappropriate... I believe in my heart it was ordained of God and so I accepted with sincere thanks."
