War Monuments in Samoa

Apia Town Clock .
Dedicated to the local soldiers of World War I .The town clock carries the inscription ;
"This tower was erected by public subscription in Western Samoa in commemoration of our Samoa-Born boys who fought in the Great War. The clock and chimes were presented by Mr. O. F . Nelson. In memory of his beloved son Taisi"

The monument has the inscription
"In memory of our sons who served overseas in the World War 1939-1945" it lists more than 60 people

on the other side of the memorial gives credit to the Mothers Club of Western
Samoa. Twenty two women members of this Mother's Club have their names listed on
the monument as follows:
