History
The location of the course used to be part of a large cocoa plantation of  WESTEC.Following the restructuring of WESTEC, this location was transferred from WESTEC to Samoa Land Corporation. Samoa Land Corporation has now developed the 18 public golf course as part of the Government's plan to develop a sports complex Taunaimato to host regional and international sports events. The Faleata course was officially opened in 2001 after the competion of the 18 holes and a club house.
