is Aumua Mataitusi Simanu. Aumua
Mataitusi was born on the 24th of February 1921. Aumua Mataitusi is
from the village of Saoluafata in Samoa but lives in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
Aumua
Mataitusi teaches Samoan Ceremonial Speeches and Samoa Oral Traditions at the
University of Hawaii.
Her
formative education years were in the Primary school in Samoa. After primary
school years in Samoa, she went to Teachers College, and then carried on to
Victoria University.
